Well, this was one fun wedding! Surrounded by friends, family, and horses Juan and Isabella said “I Do!” under a massive, majestic oak tree at the beautiful Lange Farm in Dade City.
They planned a unique and meaningful wedding! There were so many things I loved about their day!!! Isabella is very close to her father and her stepfather so both walked her down the aisle and she had a father-daughter dance with both. It was so touching. I may have shed a tear or two! They also added a tree planting ceremony. The ceremony was spoken in Spanish so I didn’t understand all of what was said but it was watered by both Isabella and Juan and their mothers. They plan to plant the tree in their yard at home. Also noteworthy, they had a super lively, choreographed first dance that had me laughing so hard. It was followed by a sweet, special slower second dance. Lange Farm doesn’t allow sparkler exits because of the fire hazard so Juan and Isabella had everyone wave glow sticks while they blew bubbles from a bubble machine. It was hilarious and I thought they glow sticks looked really playful in the pictures! And, wow, could this group dance – everyone participated! So many amazing latin songs, salsas, and fun. Everyone was up dancing and laughing together!
I was so impressed with Isabella and Juan’s calmness when a few hiccups arose. Every wedding has unexpected bumps – ripped dresses, rain, accidents, tardiness of important people, hair disasters, flower girls who have accidents, ring bearers who get stage fright, and the list goes on. The day of Isabella and Juan’s wedding there was a bad accident that caused a half hour delay on the highway and quite a few people were later than they would have liked to have been. But they didn’t let it get to them! Also, the cake took a tumble in the car (happens a lot!), but again, they didn’t focus on it and stayed calm and happy. Bravo!
I love when amazing people find each other. I love getting to document one of the biggest moments of people’s lives. It’s a lot of pressure and one that I take very seriously! This was an amazing wedding to capture and I’m so, so, so happy for the newly married couple!!!
