You could probably call this a Fairy Tale Wedding, because the guest listed included four Disney princesses! The bride, is in fact, a Disney Princess at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and several of her friends “from work” were attending as well. My kids were a bit star struck when I showed them the pictures!
This wedding took place in late March of 2020, just as COVID mania was unfolding. We were unsure if the wedding would be able to proceed, but thankfully, we got the go ahead just before businesses closed down and weddings paused in our area.
Oxford Exchange is my favorite Tampa wedding venue and it was a real treat for me to capture such a beautiful wedding of such a sweet couple at such a stunning location!
The venue was originally believed to be a horse stable, then used as an office building before sitting abandoned for years, until, finally, in 2012 it was bought and converted into the stunning bookstore, cafe, and event venue that it is today. I could stare at those beautiful portrait-lined walls, stunning atrium staircase, and British manor-like decor for hours. Endless inspiration and style in that building! A real dream come true for a wedding!
The bride surprised the groom by arriving in style for the First Look in a vintage Roles Royce on the steps of Plant Hall at the University of Tampa. He was stunned – both by the vintage car and by his bride-to-be’s beauty. I love when couples do a first look. It allows them to calm down and reconnect right before saying their I Do’s. As a photographer, I’m very aware of the emotions of the couple, and I’m always amazed at how they relax during the First Look. That hug and few words of reassurance seem to calm the nerves. So helpful! (And the pictures we get are full of real emotion and deep connection. – Hooray!)
It was a perfectly planned wedding for this Happily Ever After couple!
